I bought my cut down grille from a member here a while back (years) that was originally bought from the original seller on Ebay that cuts them with a laser which seals the chrome so it won't peel.
My only disappointment was the fact the grille was reported to be a factory OEM FORD unit which it was not.
Evedentally the aftermarket folks cannot reproduce the "FORD" emblem without paying BIG bucks in royalties, and with that said the original emblem that came with my grille went to crap and I had to replace it.

How do you know its not OEM? Because the the emblem was poor quality?

that's what I was thinking, everyone on ebay uses "lasers" to cut plastic grills. ha ha I really doubt it but who knows they have many great tools in china. but in all joking if a person cuts it with a rotary tool what are the chances of finishing it in a way to not make it peel up in a year or so.

...yes yes and I have a light saber at home. I use it to chop vegetables.
This is an aftermarket part...that's the real story.
