Hi, I need help in what to do. I think this is the correct forum. I have a 1989 f250, 351( sorry do not know whick one). Oil dip stick is on the drivers side. I removed it to check the oil and it would not go back in. Upon examination the tube is rusted out and the stick is not going back in.
How do repair this? Is there a repair kit? I have never heard of the is happening before.
Yap here's what I'd do .. Get yourself some 3/8 Brake line and cut it to length and install it into the hole in the pan. If I knew how to make it crimp for the compression fitting I'd tell you but I don't .
Instead just use some silicone to make it seal....
