i've got the 3" front and 1" block in the rear. looks damn near level. probably 1/2 inch higher in the back. put prob 15000 miles on it, so still kinda new but no suspension problems yet anyway. looks ****ing awesome

I've kinda grown to like how smooth the ride is in my 05 SCREW
is there a lift kit that doesnt include/need the add a leaf in the rear? I know that the front has like extenders for the struts/shocks or whatever . . . is that how it works in the rear if you dont go the add a lead route?
You could put a block, but the truck already has a block, and it is bad to stack blocks. And a larger block would be needed to replace the stock block and give lift. This gives more axle wrap, which is not good(it wouldn't be bad b/c of a 3" block, but it would be more than stock)
I don't like blocks and would take a add a leaf any day.
The 1.5" add a leaf would not cause a very stiff ride, but a 3" add a leaf would.

So who made your 1 inch rear blocks? Seems all the ones I've seen have been 3 inches(1 1/2 inches taller than the stock blocks on the 4X4's). I am really torn between the add a leafs and the taller blocks. Maybe I will just put the cap on and the 3 inch leveling blocks and see how she sits then go from there. While we are on the subject, what do the members think of new shocks vs. say Rancho 5000's, Bilsteins, etc. I like a firm ride but don't want a buckboard.
The Ranch5000s would be a good shock, I have some Ranch9000s and they are a very good quality shock, and I like the adjusability of them.
The bilsteins are also some very good shocks, and I considered them, but wanted something adjustable for towing.
IF I would get the bilsteins, then I would get the ones with the 0-2" lift.

look up the eBay seller "springbender"...they are Autosprings
the factory 4wd block is 1-5/8" tall
Autosprings sells a 3" block for the 4wd, and a 1.5" block for the 2wd. the 3" block removes the factory block completely...this gives you that extra 1.5" of rear lift to complement the 2.5" front leveling kit
oh yeah, and it also comes with new u-bolts for the axle
it's made by truxxx. comes with 3" front and 1" rear. it's a block 1" bigger than the stock one. rides a little rougher after the kit. i also have 10 ply tires (e rated). i like the way it rides. gonna go to the shop later that's where my camera is. will take a couple pics
i'm not saying it's better than the add a leaf one... from what i've read on here the add a leaf would probably be a better idea. i'm just saying that's the one i've got and i like it
