All Terrain Tires

Looking for a tire with a bit more aggressive tread for my '08 Screw. Am considering Goodrich AT K/O, Pro Comp AT, Goodyear Wrangler, and Cepek F-II. Would like some comments from actual owners as to tread life, tire noise, handling, and performance. I am open to other brand suggestions too.

Look into Dayton Timberline MT's They are a mud terrain tire though, but an excellent tire. Excellent wear, and ride characteristics. Traction is never an issue in snow and mud. The only downside is they are quite noisy on the highways, especially above 70mph.

I have the BFG All terrain tires and they are great. For such an aggressive tread pattern they are quite quiet and they wear great. I am soon getting my next set. Hope this helps.

Just had some 285/70/17s BFG Alls put on my Scab last weekend. I love them, nice and quiet. Just drove them around in the couple inches of snow we got last night, gripped like a pro!!! And they look nice too! Just my two sense. No info on wear, as I just got them, but BFGs have a pretty good rep.

I'd suggest the Goodyear wrangler Silent Armors. They are getting great reviews, and they are priced pretty good. They have a decent tread for a all terrain type of tire, and I prefer them compaired to the BFG A/Ts(as a all around tire, and they are much cheaper). IF I didn't go with M/Ts then I would have the silent armors now. I did a lot of research on this subject, and they are great(for most purposes, but I needed something with more mud traction).

I have stock goodyear ats on my fx4 and they have the same tread pattern as the silent armour and they are at about half tread and I swear they wear designed to kill me in wet weather, especailly snow and ice.. the middle tread blocks are too cloise together.. cant wait to get rid of these pos tires..

Check out Toyo Open Country M/T. Have them on F-250 in Oregon - snow, ice, rain, mud, dry. Long-wearing and quiet on highway. I'm buying another set for our other pickup.

I suggest the Pro-comp they are cheap, look good, and my last set out lasted the truck(sold it with good tires) I tried to get them on my current truck but 4wheelparts didn't have 35x12x17 in stock. I got the BFGs and they too are lasting a long time but It seems like I pick up every rock I cross, killing my paint job. No I dont want flares, and my wife would kill me if I go get the Pro-comps now......Wish I would have waited for them to restock.

agreed. I have 315/70/17s and they're very quiet and look great. they do very well in the snow, not as great on ice (but then again, nothing really does). I can still fishtail on snow, but I really have to try now.

they get kinda squirley when it's less than 10 below out there. maybe I need to check the pressure or something, I dunno.
