4R55E tranny problem.

So my 01 Explorer XLT has the 4R55E i believe correct me if im wrong. But it really likes to hangup on shifts between 2nd and 3rd and now severly between 4th and O/D if u really step on it it just pauses at a certain RPM and wont rev and higher And then decides to slowly creep up to the point where it has to shift but Struggles alot. Also the other night between 4th and Overdrive It paused then reved up all the way to 6K rpm before it shifted??? EPC Solonoid valve body????

Help Needed

Thanks.

Wow sounds like a huge transmission flaw. What could be causing this do you think a rebuild is in the future or solonoid??? Im getting a flush and fill this week with a new filter and gasket.

if you have it apart, you just as well do the gasket. the fluid is the most expensive part of the whole deal. your too late to fix it with a flush

Nope just a constant smell of coolant Not sure if its the cap or if its dripping out of the radiator there are no leaks at all.

A pin leak in the heater core could do this - smell but no visible loss of fluid.
