Sorry -- I wasn't clear. The EGT probe requires a drill & tap for the kit I have, but you can get a sensor that just uses a band clamp and a non-tapped hole. The drill & tap is really the best way to go, but a lot of folks have done the clamp method without problems. I actually went in the up-pipe instead of the manifold, so that tap job was very easy. Up to you, but you will need a good drill bit or two to do it iright. The Drill Dr. is a wonderful tool...

I used the clamp type pyro sensor mount. It was really easy and after two years it is still working fine.
