I have done a thorough search of this forum and haven't found a direct answer. I am running 35x12.5x15 tires with stock 3.55 gears. I would like to regear my speedo so my E4OD will shift correctly and my mileage will be accurate. There are many questions in this forum about this topic but no real answers to the question. What speedo gear do I need to get to correct my speedo? I called ford and they don't have listings for oversize tires. Thanks in advance.
I know super-lift sells a computer thingy that corrects the tire size, it has a little switch on it an you can change your tire size as much as you want.
I just want to know the number of teeth that someone has used to correct their speedo with 35" tires and 3.55 gears. Just give me a number, I don't want to do any math, I want to be lazy. Please.
Please, someone just let me know what gear I need. I am not a fan of Math and would probably screw something up in my head were I to try to use the math portion of it. Do you want to see me wearing a bib and a helmet, riding on a small yellow bus? Wait, don't answer that question. Once again, 35" tires with stock 3.55 gears, what speedo gear do I need to recalibrate speedo?
yo DW, no problemo..but he still needs to get the "actual" tire diameter (although it is 35..who knows the actual diameter since the actual varies among tire mfgrs)...and at the psi he needs to run at; can't do it from here for him although I'd like to help.
Also, he'll need to confirm the # of Drive Teeth; can't guess from here on this either; esp not knowing if a prev owner has changed the tranny, etc.
