once you select the ford 400 you pick your heads.
I believe the stock valve canted are pretty close to the numbers on these heads. The cleveland and 460 have canted heads.
Compression is 9:1 for 71 and 8.4 if it is later.
stock manifolds for exhaust.
valve events are 17/59 intake 71/21 exhaust lift is .422i .427e
hydraulic cam.
Not sure if those numbers are seat to seat or .050
If you want I can e-mail you my saved layouts. I punched in some numbers that I got off a website and have a couple different cams and even a 460 with edelbrock heads one with a performer cam and one with a performer RPM cam. And a 440 with stock 64 exotic intake pieces and cam to match intakes, with edelbrock heads.
The comp 268H (high energy) specs are 28/60i 68/20e .494
I do not know what the stock 2 barrel carb flows, but I would think 500cfm is pretty close.

actually with dd2k you want to make your own head table. the flow charts are for sb chrysler heads. you also want to use the cam specs @.050 for better results. dd2k says my 400 makes between 450hp and 604hp depending on what i use as settings. as i manually entered the figures it came to @ 495hp and #tq.

The Desktop Dyno books advise you to use seat to seat specs for best results with their program. The cam specs at .050 are better used for degreeing in a cam etc.

There are a few other little strange quirks in the settings that makes it easy to get misleading numbers. I recommend that you buy the Motion Software reference manuals to learn to use the program properly. Build a few historical "stock" engines that have well known Dyno Hp figures with known cam specs etc (65-71). Compare your hypothetical dyno engine results to the historical engines to see how closely they match.
