If you were real careful to get a light coat only on the environmental seal, it might be of some value to help keep the pins spotlessly clean and free of anything.
The contacts are gold plated on both the CPS and the wiring harness, thus gold-on-gold (a NASA-grade connection used in desperation by Ford after tin-plating proved less reliable), which should eliminate the electrical connection as a source of problems.
As David said above, keep the grease off the pins.
I've used it many times and never had a problem. I coat the rubber, finned environmental seal that Pop mentioned, but I've also got some on the pins and have had no negative issues. Coating the seal is the priority though. Keep the dirt and water out to prevent corrosion.

same thing here..i have always put a good dab in the plug then push it together..for the lights i dad the bulb then plug it in..i have done every plug and bulb on my truck so far....the contacts will scrape the grease away when they make contact to each other..if you dont trust us..try this..cover the pos battery post with a nice coat of the grease..take a test light..hook up the neg..then touch the pos. post..ill bet the test light comes on...
Cool, thanks. I will put some on the enviro seal to keep it sealed tight. It shouldent matter if its on the pins because it is non conductive right? It won't arc the contacts to one another, It should just keep air off of the surface of the pin "I thought"?

Any way,
thanks for the input,
