cps question

Hey guys I have had a problem with my truck and i was told that it could be my cps or my tps so i had a spare cps in the truck. I changed out my grey one to the now new purple one. the problem happened again but after a few hundred miles the problem has not come back. when you change out a cps does the truck need to be driven a few miles so the computer can learn again?

I would say that the fix would be immediate or not at all if it was the CPS. I am almost certain that our generation of computers do not have the ability to learn, unfortunately or not.

What problem were/are you having?

OK. Now I remember. DieselDenny had an excellent suggestion in that thread.

Have you tried removing the chip, key out of the ignition, to see if the problem goes away.

Hey guys im sorry i havent responded in a while. Ive been very busy. Now its been a few weeks now since I had replaced the CPS and knock on wood the problem has NOT come back. I still have the TPS sitting in my truck waiting for a new bracket to install it but Im still wondering if I should even waste my money and return the TPS. Or do I just install it? Before I changed the CPS the truck would do it at least once a day.
