06 4x4 conversion

I have an 06 F250 2wd V10 Crewcab that I have been thinking about converting to a 4x4. I would trade it in a get a new one but I am upside down about $10,000 so that is not an option. Has anyone done this succesfully?

It can be done, but why on a 06?

It would be a lot more trouble than it would be worth. Sell it and buy a 4wd version, or keep it and buy a cheap 4x4.

I am kind of up in the air on the cheap 4x4 mainly because I already have a garage and driveway full of other toys and I owe alot more than the trucks is worth thanks to buying a Dodge that crapped out on me after a year with no warranty so pretty much I am still paying for both.

truthfully, it might be easier/cheaper to pick up a beater rig for a few hundred bucks. If you couldnt do that, and were dead set on a 4wd conversion, you would almost have to find a donor truck that was burnt or something, otherwise you would nickel and dime yourself to death.
