Just curious as to what everyone in here is runnin' in their vehicles. I currently have a MTX 750 watt two channel running a pair of 12" Cerwin Vega HED's (parrallel 8-ohm for a 4-ohm load) and it bumps pretty damn good. Didn't spend too much dough. That's in my single cab F-150... In my diesel I got a 10" Infinity Kappa in a bandpass box.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-May-02 AT 08:49 PM (EST)]Sony Xplod Head Unit(single CD), Xplod Coaxials in all doors, Kicker Comp Tweeters on the dash, Sony Xplod 10 Disc in the rear. (6) 10" Xplod's running on a Kicker Comp Amp, Just under 1000 watts.
Not done yet, but I'm gonna have a 10" Alpine Type-R in the center console of my '92 F150 XLT ext. cab flareside. Make my own box (I'm good with that kind of stuff) to fit inside, and am gonna get 300-600 watts from Rockford Fosgate or Kenwood. Still deciding. Head unit is a Jensen MP3-510 mp3 player. I know Jensen usually sucks, but this was a christmas present and actually is not that bad. Speakers are Blaupunkt 3-way 6x9's and 2-way 3 1/2's. These not many people have heard of, but they are really good. I would recommend 'em to other people. Sorry, I don't remember the model number though, sorry. They are the blue translucent color. The greys probably would have been better.
Anyway, there you have it. My system. I'll get picks of it after I install my sub, it may be a few weeks yet.
Currently running Pioneer deck, nothin' special, 3 way Pioneer 5.25"s in the doors, 3 way Pioneer 6x8"s in the x-cab, 800watt Boss amp, 2 Pioneer (I was in a mood) 12"s (4 ohm). All was very cheap and is very loud. The box, amp, and subs are getting sold in the next week. Have sitting in my room an MTX 6500D and a box w/ 2 15" DVC Kicker Comp VRs to be run @ 2 ohms and 775w...out w/ the old, in w/ the new. Going to be not so cheap and VERY VERY loud.
I've got three California Profile amps 2 600's and a 1200. 4 JBL 10" subs in a custom box in the back, and Infinity Refrence component speakers in all four doors. Pioneer CD head, seperate Pioneer EQ. and 12 disc changer. I'm over amped on the component speakers, but I'm thinking of adding a few more speakers to the system while I'm redoing the interior.

In my '97 X, I just put four Boston Acoustic 5x7 two-ways in the doors with no amp, just wired to the premium head unit, have Bass Blockers attatched to them to take out the distortion. I have a 10" JLAudio 400 watt Stealth Box Sub in the rear panel pushed by a 600 watt Kenwood Mono Bass Amp. This 10" sub is loud and clear, sounds like two 10's. You can't see the sub, so it's anit-thief. This is probably the nicest sounding system I've listened to with out spending a whole $h1tload of money...About $800 with install.
What I was running
Pioneer DEH-10 <---Walmart special, did the job
2 pairs of radio shack 6x9's (100 watts RMS)
Orion HCCA225 (rated at 2x25, really puts out 400W)
2 Cerwin Vega 15's
What I am running now
10.5:1 460, with headers and 40 series flows. That is all the music I need.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Jun-02 AT 02:02 AM (EST)]All this great audio equipment and very few pics of it? For the price of a good head unit you could get a digital camera. Since none of us are there to hear it. Please grace us with some visual candy!
My old truck, now sold had 2 6.5" Polk Audio 3 ways in dash, 1 12" JL Audio in dual ported bandpass enclosure, 250Watt bridged 2 channel MTX amp pushing the sub and 300 Watt Jensen (piece of ****** amp but it was free) pushing the 6.5's with hi pass capacitors wired in series with the positive output.
Now I have 2 kids, a mortgage, and 2 car notes.
