How much hp/torque does the 400 have from a 78 bronco?

I don't have specs for a 78. My last specs are for 75 cars.

149 horsepower @ 3200 rpm
300 Ft. Lbs. torque @ 1400 rpm

78 bronco hp/torque

not as much as you think. the hp ratins are between 170-140. torque is between 330-285. in 1971 they were rated in bhp at 260hp.

The ratings are for new engines obviously. When they get tired the numbers really drop.

Prior to this rebuild, the baseline 400 made 65HP@5000RPM at the rear wheels.

78 bronco hp/torque

Wow thats not much horsepower. Torque is good though. I was just wondering, my cousin has a 400 in his 78 Bronco and it moves pretty good. But it was rebuilt a couple of years ago and he has better heads/intake manifold/ 4 bbl carb/true duals. Thanks for your replies!
