Nuetral safety switch controls reverse lights?
As best I can tell from what I have read here, and the guy at NAPA said, the nuetral safety switch controls the reverse lights on these trucks.
Is this correct? I thought it was just to prevent the motor from being able to start when in gear.
Reason I am asking is my rev. lights dont work and its dark where I live at night.

The nuetral safety switch has integrated controls for both the saftey switch, reverse lights and the control for allowing the electric t-case to go into low range. AOD's have a seperate nuetral safety switch, and E4ODs have added circuitry for telling what position the gear lever is in.
