Another Bad Dealership
Went to Texan Ford today in Arlington, TX to have my oil changed and tires rotated. (I originally had an appointment for noon last Saturday and was told I would be lucky if they got to it by 2:30, so I had to bring it back today...whats the point of appointments?) They got to it fairly quickly, but when I was watching them, they did not rotate the tires in the correct rotation. Then, when I got home, I checked the torque on the lug nuts. I had my torque wrench set at 150 ft. lbs. (per Ford owners manual....Ford service manual says 165 ft. lbs.) and I could get at least a full rotation out of each lug nut before the torque wrench "clicked". Obviously they weren't even close to tight enough even on the low side of the range. I got to my right front wheel, and one of the lug nuts had spun itself about 1/3 of the way off the lug....the tech didn't even tighten that one. I called to speak to the manager...he was not there and I will be "recieving a call tomorrow". Needless to say, I will never go back to that dealership for anything, much less service. I like knowing the bad (and good) dealerships in my area, so thought I would let everybody know.

thanks you for posting. I'm no where near you but always appreciate when people post info about the dealership they went to. we rate how much we like our tunes and rave about customer service and at the same time what we don't like, we should do the same about dealerships whether good or bad. some disagree. If the dealer sucks, then let it be known. If the dealer is good, let it be known!
