I have to say,,,, I think it is "SLICK" that looks great!!!! Nice job, and I definately am not a fan of the lowered look, but I really like that! It has what engine? who cares, can you drive it and does it get where it is goin without pushing or towing!!
NICE JOB, NICE SLICK, and I love the old barn siding touch!!! helped dad tear one down for the express purpose of getting the wood!
You know Im a newly found ford purist...but I grew up chevy, I owned a 96 camaro ss with 350 LT 1 motor. say what you want. that mother would fly. I still miss that car. Now, Aint no way Im layin frame but I think its cool as heck, Ill be lucky to get 3 inchs of drop with 20s.
I feel Im going to end up with 18s. any way despite the knuckle heads who dog it... I dont care what you got under it...if it drives, rides, and gets back home...your doing better than most. keep on truckin.
im kinda shocked the resident douche didnt pop in for a comment or two..
got two more shows it'll be heading to this year... prolly gunna do a thing or three to the insides, get the heat and air hooked up and change the rear gear out ( think i wanna put a 3.73 ) this winter

you need to get that thing out to ca so i can finnally see a slick done my style, cept i'd keep a decent motor like mine, (carbed 93 5.0 HO). hows it drive? not too shabby on the higher end? i've been eye balling the build over on the 67 to 72 forum where he used a 07 crown vic front end and a crappy isuzu deisel. the front end work looks good though and i think with a bag setup it would lay rockers.
what exactly are those rims (part number, brand name) they are the rims i have been looking for.
truck runs and drives awesome. i'd say the motor is in the 300hp range and lots of low end torque. (small luntani voodoo cam)
rims are kmc ss's 22inch, but i hate to inform ya... they discontinued this wheel earlier this year. i bought one of the last blanks and had it drilled for a spare (#5)...
hit by a bus monday afternoon. i was turning right on to a side street, she was sitting there waiting to go. soon as i pulled onto the road, she swung wide and turned right... back of bus grabbed the front of mine and turned it bout 40degrees in the street... smashed it pretty good.
aww man... I hate that for ya... hopefully the drivers insurance is gonna pay for the repairs?
might be a good way to get something youve ben wanting to get done... lol you might be able to pull a paint job... although.. looks like your going for the patina finish.
man i cant belive i never told you this about your truck.... but slamed slicks are the sexiest things ive ever seen... as for the whole chevy motor thing... its your choice.... hell i loved my chevy... 1974 chevy with a SB 400 CI... not one major problem in over 10 years... never died on us while in the woods or while going to the store.... a dead battery here or there.. and stupid deer thinking they would live after 4000 pounds of steel and cast iron hit it.... and that four barrle you basically had to hook the gas station pumps dirrecly to the carb if you wanted to go farther then 10 miles LOL... unfourtontly... land lord didnt like the fact that i had 4 dead imports in my back yard.... and called up the scraper while we where gone, and the scraper picked up the truck to... the 350 and the 400 use the same blocks... only reason why i said anything... but damn was she a beast....
i hope you took a nice 2 foot long steel bar with a few nails weleded to it... and hit the idiot who ran into your truck a few times....
no wait dont do that... leave that for the red-necks....{{now where did i put that pipe at.... and where do you live?? HAHAHA}}
nice truck and thanks for reading this seemingly pointless thread... LOL
Draggonwagon, Thats really bites! sorry to here it.... One thing that I think is real Important is to have these old trucks Apraised. I have both of mine apraised for a Real Value, Most insurance companys will try to tell you that your truck is only worth a few hundred dollars because of the age of it when stuff like this happens. I know first hand just how much that is going to cost to repair, Not cheap for sure! It only cost me 120-150 dollars to have an aprisal done. Hope you still have all the recipts for the money you put into it, that will sure help in getting the most money out of the Insurance Co.
I think, by your last photos, you got a little too carried away with the 'patina' thing. Seriously though, how are you going to match the rest of the trucks patina. Are you gonna swap in different parts or are you going to repair what you have? I'm assuming you weren't planning to paint it.
thanx guys... ive bought a 66 parts truck to steal the front end off. i plan on painting the truck and gettin it back to a similar look....lacquer paint baby . (minus the 22's this time)
anyone need a good 240 6cyl and 3spd? rad or steering column. this truck has a stock floor shifter and a slick column...
sam-fear, what do you mean a little carried away? i never did anything to the exterior of my truck. i never washed, sanded, anything to that other than the bed and skin combo. so im not sure what you mean ?

Sorry bud, I was making light of your recent unintended body work. Just so we are clear, I do feel bad for ya and I really liked the look of your truck - 22's, slammed, patina, the works. The motor/frame thing doesn't interest me, but it sure doesn't upset me either. I sincerely hope you can get it back to where you want it. Like the hillbilly bed too.
