P1131 code????
Finally got my truck to some place so I could see why my check egine light was on... Code P1131?? something to d with the mass air ??Guy at store couldnt tell me much.

Usually this code is the result of a bad bank 1 HEGO.

??? so it has nothing to do with the air sensor in the air tube..

It usually means what antony25 suggested above.

Kinda hard to have any other ideas . . . try switching the HEGOs and see if the problem moves.

It may also be due to a dirty/bad MAF.

Had the CEL come on on our 98 Contour with a P1131 code. Found the clips that hold the lid to the air cleaner not snapped shut tight - hence extra air. My scanner indicated that the O2 sensor output is within range so hope that this was the only problem.
