Thanks tj ipr is plugged in and i did unplug icp nothing, not to many guys that i know with diesel scan tools most just takem back to the squealership and get hosed i dont have that kind of money there are 5 or 6 dealers by me but thay dont like to share info
well without a scan tool it will require a little labor. I am not sure this will work but first remove the oil filler cap and have somebody crank the truck over. Watch closely to see if you can see any oil squirting around. If you can see some thats good. If not try a mirror or you might have to pull the valve cover off. What I am looking for here is if the injectors are spitting oil trying to start.
Also what city are located in? looking to see if anybody on here lives close to you that has a scan tool.
Hi Tim well i pulled the diver side vc and cranked the motor over no oil comming out of the injectors, i found a guy that rebuilds injectors and pumps and he can scan the truck but he seems to think that maybe the anti theft system is keeping this from starting, any thoughts? Truck will be scaned on wensday.
Well no oil means injectors aren't trying to fire. When you get it scanned we need to know all codes stored as well as ICP PSI, and IRP Duty cycle. Also do a buzz test. Either you have an electrical issue or HP oil issue.
Hey Tim, thursday am had the truck scanned cost 160.00 bucks maybe 45 mins time the guy could not get into the truck computer, my truck keeps comming up as a ford escort, he says i need a ecm just to get in to see whats up.He tryed his computer on a ford exployer at the tow yard where my truck is and that was fine so his stuff works Where do i get a good rebuilt?or new ecm or is used ok.I know the #s have to be the same but what #s the junkyard by me just got a 95 f 250 psd hit in the front they want to try and get it running before i can get that computer, or should i bother? Any help would be great as today the head gasket on my 90 jetta diesel run around took a crap so it looks like im walking.

this is crazy!! I am still perplexed by no fuel pressure. Also with the blown #22 fuse in the beginning its just hard to say. A used PCM will be fine as long as it comes from a PSD truck with the same (auto or manual) trans it will be fine. I really doubt the PCM is bad though.
A call out to all NY and NJ guys!! If you close to gregratti and have a spare PCM or a scan tool speak up WE NEED YOUR HELP!
I will be back after I think about this for a little while!
Thanks to everbody trying to help me get through this mess, this guy seemed to know what he was doing he has a shop where he works on diesel trucks light and heavy and construction equipt. He hooked up to my dash, from there the cable went to a snapon box maybe 5'' by 4'' from there to the dell laptop. He told me when i get a new ecm do not put my chip in it ,if my chip is bad it could screw the new ecm, i have been using a banks big hoss chip i got off ebay and had it flashed to 100 hp its been in about 2+years.I can put my old chip in to try the new ecm I pull a 28 ft enclosed race car trailer, or a bobcat on to jobsites, I would love 50 more hp but only if i can get it from a chip

I read a post a few days back about the edge programmer that was why I had asked this was one reply on that post
my opinions on edge come from working at the ford dealer as a diesel technician, i have lots of experiance with edge and banks, our dealer was an installer. every single edge programmed truck had issues, all of the 6.0 trucks wouldnt shift for crap, several 7.3's had pcm issues simliar to the one stated in this post. how can brand new trucks come with defective pcm's? maybe one here or there but numerous defectives, sorry its the product not the pcm, i had countles 6.0's come in with melted injector tips and mangled pistons, egt's are throug h the roof with edge, i had many 7.3's with injector issues' but not as much as with the 6.0's. had a couple 7.3's with fried pcm's that were not locked, just fried. had 2 that came up as mercury mondeo's when you hooked up with scan tools..... those were real winners. i could go on and on about how bad edge is with many stories to tell of horrific test drives and po'd customers. (some threatening with baseball bats) oh yes, edge is an ugly mess.
hey, that looks familiar..... did he scan your truck with the chip in place? if so remove it then scan. should work, i have had that happen on several "chip" chips and even had a few that did fry the pcm's but i never had a fried pcm that would officially do that without the chip installed. once removed they would read correctly but not run the vehicle.
