OK, OK guys, I think that's quite enough barb throwing at each other. We're all Bonus Built brothers. We need to get along, we don't need all this animosity. This is getting out of hand. Afterall, '48-50 or '51-51, we're in this together. We're all brothers in the old truck hobby.
Now let's use our combined enery to go after the '53-56 guys

Nah, they gots their OWN problems...think I'll stick to haranguing the '48-'50 crowd...THEY'RE the ones who use all the cab parts we '51/'52 owners need...
Actually, I like the earlier cab better, with it's small window. Of course, I like the '40 or '41 even better!
As for dashes, I do believe I've seen a LOT more '48-'50's with '51-'52 cabs, than vice-versa. I could be wrong, never paid attention to the numbers, just seems that I have. But you're right, they're all great trucks. Some greater than others, some I'd RATHER have, but can't come close to affording, or spending the time required to work on them. When i got my truck, I really was thinking duece coupe, '37 convertible or '34 Phaeton.
Now, when I hit the lottery, I'll have my "dream car"...until then, my truck will do!
I hate to break it to you but I just bought the winning lottery ticket (at least that's what the gal behind the counter told me) Yup! I'm on the way to "Dream Car City"........
.............ung...er..huh...oops, I must have been talking in my sleep again..sorry
As soon as I win that lottery I'll be right there with you, buyin' and drivin' dream cars!
I don't have any pics of it, but when I was 19 I bought a 1931 Model A truck cab. Someone had filled the top in. The cab and doors were completely rust free (with the exception of the fuel tank which had pinholes in the bottom) I bought the cab, grill shell, and a frame for $50.
I sold it several years later for $500 so I could keep the heat on and pay for Christmas...I hate when that happens

EDIT --- Boy, we're sure good at getting off topic aren't we....lol

It's always either money or time. Now that you have time, there is no money. That's life. Retirement is still better than the alternative.
