Replacing the mirror
How easy or difficult is it to replace the mirror on a 2005 F350 ?? ( tow mirrors )
I am talking about just changing the mirror itself, nothing else. It cracked on me the other day while I scrapped 1" of ice off my truck. The joys of winter in MO.
I have the replacement mirror on order, and at $77 a pop, I don't want to screw it up.

Are you talking about just the glass? If so it was simple on my 02 and the factory package comes with instructions. You have to snap in a couple of plastic pins in the back of the mirror for the power adjustment, then you heat the center of the back side of the mirror so you can snap the glass onto the plastic pivot point. It will take you less than 10 minutes if you read the directions first, about 20 minutes if you just start taking things apart and trying to figure it out on your own.
