trans problems?
Whats this I've heard from a couple people about SD's having transmission issues around 80,000mi? I've heard from a couple "people who know people" with 7.3's that the trans went out and needed rebuilt/replaced. I was just wondering if there was anything to it.
My 99 250crew4x4 v10 runs great and has zero issues (except my t-stat) with 86,000 on it. Thanks alot,

BTW-That was the best thermostat I have ever changed. Honestly looking at the v10 it doesn't look to bad to work on for in the future.(I've worked on alot of old fords, and 747's - their old too
)

4r100 trans is known to have a mechanicle diode problem which can go out any time. Just had this with 96,000 miles on my 7.3 SD and it was 1450.00 to fix with new torque converter and tugger kit. My truck has never been so good, its like a new truck at this point.
