I was bored this weekend, so i decided to come up with a new CCV mod because i just cant leave my truck alone, and i can't spend any big $$ currently because im saving it up a little ..
I took this idea from Rampage F-350, but added my own little twist to it, and i like it. Dont think there is one out there like it. The design is one vent off of each valve cover, joining under my seat outside of the framerail in an oil trap made from 4" PVC pipe and three different grades of steel wool, coarse at the top, medium and then fine at the bottom. A larger drain hose exits and goes rear ward to a tee fitting where the flow splits off into two chrome 1.5" pipes miter cut exiting below the bumper. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Looks good, Kris. I've been thinking about stretching my version in this same direction ever since Rampage posted his job.
Don't know if it's just the angle of the sun shining through the rear view shots, but it almost looks like there is some preferential flow down the driver side.
Sorry i've been gone all night. Lots of views, no comments on it? Pete, they are both about the same. The left side is a foot or so offset compared to the right, it looks like that but they are both about the same as terms of flow.
They were black, and i cleaned them. That damn oil leak made everything coat in oil and now dirt sticks to them. Thanks for the comments, off to post it on the other site LOL
