Hey everone new to the site and i want to get a tuner for my new truck. I bought a 2005 f150 5.4l. What does everyone reccomend as far as brand and if it is even worth it.

 

also a newbie here. i run the hypertech pp3 on my 05, as to performance, well it's hard to tell. i mainly bought it for the diagnostic ability and the tire size adjustment, as i upgraded to 285's from the stock 245's. for our series of trucks, alot of people recommend troyer performance and the xcal programmer. although i 'm hearing a bit more positive about the edge programmer. hope this helps.

i paid 42000 CAD for mine brand new with a canopy. and it's only an XL. rip off artists.

 

What is that in US? So you think i got a good deal?

 

unsure what the exchange was back in 05, what trim level you got? seems like a good price to me.
