I removed mine completely. Used a piece of 1/8" steel I had laying around to fab up a new battery tray that I could bolt to the factory holes on the bottom & side. I didn't want to screw up my factory box either.
Ford sells metal bat tray 50.00 bucks. And with good clamp and 3 to 4 inch of 4 inch pipe you shoud never have pop off worries. I have posted before about this try because i feel it cleans up the area but i dont know how now to go back to see the part #.. her it is it was on old bill f81z-10732-ab $57.57 out the door. maybe this will help if dealer will not sell for that price call me 478 952 8873 ill get one and send to you. Some dealers sell for as much as 125 where brother in law lives maybe this will help?
I've been using a 3" long piece of 4", but my angles are less than ideal. I just bought a stainless 45° 4-inch bend that I'm going to install once it arrives, which should take care of my particular problem altogether.
Hi guys, I didn't like the taper on the 6637. I took a 4 inch dia. pvc nipple and sliced it. then inserting it into the 6637.Sealed the new joint, Before uniting the stock intake tube slide a 4 inch black rubber sleeve over it with two clamps and your done. Serves two purposes. the tubes won't disconnect and the inside clamp has a hard clamping surface to seat on......It looks like a pro job less than 10 bucks
