6637 filter with screen inside

6637 filter with screen inside
Does anyone know which one of the 6637 style filters has the screen inside? I know most of them don't, but I was thinking there was one that does.

Bill - the only two 6637s I've ever bought both had the inner mesh - luckily. Both are made by Baldwin. One came from FleetFilter (Baldwin PA2818 Air Filter: FleetFilter Secure Online Store) and one came from Clay (riffraff).
I wonder if Baldwin is the only one that does the inner mesh.

LOL!! If I was, I musta forgot about it! LOL! And it probably would have been from my buddy at Napa that got me a good deal on mine, but I'm not using those anymore.....they don't have the inner screen. I guess I'll order one from Clay.

These are pics of what I bought at NAPA this one was about 4 years old when I replaced it as you can see there is no mesh inside. It certainly seems like a good idea to have the mesh. Bill has mesh inside

I knew someone was talking about me.....my ears were burning ...LOL
I am still running the K&N filter until I find a large filter that does have the wire on the inside.
The road dust is not a big issue where I live and I do not do any off road ding.
But....I will never run a air filter on my truck that does not have wire on the inside. That was one hard lesson for me.

I guess I should look at my filter too. I bought the special from Clay last time I bought filters. In fact, I'm pretty sure I still have one new one left. I'll take a look at mine when I get to the shop this morning.
