Just got a edge evolution and could not resist setting my truck to the highest level and going for a ride. It made a real big difference in power but after a short ride I set it down to level 1 to be careful because I dont have a EGT gauge and edge highly recomends the gauge at higher settings. What I would like to know from you guys with chips and EGT guages is what dose it take to get things to hot.
I'm with 2 stroke.SC on 3 , hard accel. might get to 900deg. Cruising around 500 deg. Even when towing never has gone over that, but I run it alot easier.

I have run mine on EXTREME and have taken it to her pretty heavy and never got above 1000 (pre turbo), however I have a wide open exhaust which drops the egt a little bit, however, I still would not do that without the guages.
All it takes is fuel to get EGT up, you don't have to be towing, accelerating empty does it too. Be smart and get guages installed. Every truck is different, you can't safely take anyone else's readings as accurate for your truck, especially since some of these guys are reporting post turbo EGT numbers to you. For your own peace of mind, get a pyro in your manifold, you'll be glad you did.
yep get a gauge and find out but I can hit 1250 empty even with an intercooler. Even easier with the plow on, MUCH MUCH easier with plow and little trailer. EGT's depend on programming, air flow, load, throttle, and a million other things.
Let me rephrase that, "You are fine on the tow setting IF YOU ARE NOT TOWING/HAULING" this is the lowest setting on the EDGE and without a load on level ground I have not seen any issues" HOWEVER, as stated it BEST to have gauges, it's the first thing (AFTER INTAKE AND EXHAUST) that should be done not the last...
Yea, going to get the gauge jut trying to get a idea of what it takes to get things cooking. I know there are a lot of variables that make a diff. Sorry i should have asked in the first post but what temps ok and what is to high.
