heres an off topic question. how do shrink down one of my pics on my comp small enough for my avatar? sorry for this boring question.

Get MS Powertoys Picture resizer.
It makes resizing pictures a one minute job.
They have a TON of really handy stuff that they don't normally include in Windows.
They don't provide support for it but I've never had one that didn't work.

If your pictures are saved in the "My Pictures" folder or whatever, just go to it and open the picture, then go to the picture menu, and then click resize. Then you can type in whatever size it needs to be. That's how I did mine. Hope this is clear enough directions.
