Ok
So I have heard this turbo is suppossed to be loud. But just exactly hoe loud is it?
1. Twice as loud as stock?
2. Just a little louder than stock?
3. Ear piercing you will never hear again loud? LOL...
4. Is it loud only in certain rpm ranges or loads? What are they?
Just trying to get a handle on this turbo. It seems like it would be a nice fit for my truck. However I still would like to be able to carry on a conversation in the cab and hear music play.

It's loud with the 6637. But when I ran the 6637/GTP38R combo I think the engine noise was still worse than the turbo whine. With the AFE setup that I have now, some of that engine noise is blocked out of the cab, so the turbo whine is more prominent. People that ride in my truck for the first time always comment about the turbo whine, so it's very noticeable. Is it too loud? Not for me. Others may disagree. For the most part it doesn't seem to bother my passengers. Everyone keeps volunteering me to drive.
