Keyless Entry?
hey guys,
i got a 96 f-250 with power locks and power everything but, i do not have a keyless entry system. i was wonderin if anyone here has put a keyless entry on their trucks and what does it involve, how spendy. thanks

ok, to confirm what everyone else said, if you have the XLT package, you have keyless entry from factory. mine has it, and still works. previous owner may have lost it, but you should be able to go to ford and get a new one without spending too much.

look up under the dash i want to say a little to the left of the ash tray and there will be a black box that is about 4" x 2" x 3". I think it has a label on it identifiying it as the keyless entry module. it has an antenna wire plugged into it with the same type of connector that is on the radio antenna wire. i'm glad someone brought this up because i had nearly forgot that i had mine with all the brain power i put into modifying the truck. my drivers door has become a real pain to get unlocked with the key, sometimes i just give up and go around to the other side to get in. of course i need to repair the power lock in the driver's door if i want the key fob to work, it never ends
