So I just scored a killer deal on some 05 18" King Ranch take off's for my 02 excursion but apparently i will be be needing some spacers for her. Research indicates that 2" spacers are ideal. How do these look? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWDVW
And I do need 2 sets of 2 for it to look right, correct? Or is the rear axle width the same?
Stay away from spacers ESPECIALLY if you are towing. In stock form, all of the weight of the rims is placed on the hubs, NOT the lugs. If you put spacers you put the load on the lugs and they will fail.
do all of the 16" wheels off of Excursions have the same offset???
Yes. All 16" Super Duty/Excursion wheels are the same.
what years came with different size wheels??? or different offsets???
None...if you're talking 16". 05+ Super Dutys saw the demise of the 16" wheels and the 17" being the standard wheel. Backspacing changed due to the redesigned front suspension on the trucks. The diameter increased due to the increase in brake size.
If you want 05+ wheels you gotta run adapters/spacers.

Ya know that's a good question! I don't think that the rear axle width changed (got wider) but a "spec" search should yield results.
I`m running 37" Toyo`s on 24" Weld`s with hub centric spacers. Love them and have had no problems when pulling 30 ft toyhauller. I had to have the spacers because my wheels are custom one offs from Weld.
