Uh, not zactly: http://www.network54.com/Forum/74182/thread/988495688/

There is some pretty detailed info in that thread. They would probably be a little more desireable to a car owner who needs the staggered exhaust bolt pattern for clearance.

And as do the later C8AE-H heads. Still all in all the C6AE-R's are std 390 heads. And like all other FE std heads, they can be whatever you make of them.

No no no, I believe that r stands for racing, and he needs to buy up every one that he can find.

Sure, NOW YOU TELL ME! China has sent a swing-set back already.

My C4AE-G heads are standard, run of the mill 352/390 heads also.

Hyp have you checked those R heads to see if there an "R" by itself at the end of the head on the left side?

I believe it was 66 that was the change over year from the large ports to the smaller ones...Mid year... So your C4's should be large port design.....

The intake was gone, saw the same huge intake ports the C4s had. I thought about grabbing them, but I just bought the C4s the week before. It was over a year ago: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...6&postcount=20

So that "R" is off the end of the head?

Hyp, from what I understand ? as I too had a chance to get a set of "R" heads...from 1 of my hotrod ford neighbors (he restores) classic's..and I was talking to "G" about them...you know he knows his part #s...and he said to check for another "R" at the end of the head..I believe he said it was located on the left end of the head...

Thats about the best I can tell you ? Sorry..Maybe G will chime in this afternoon and put some clarification on it?

Are we sure the R on the end isn't just a location specific marking. I have the COAE 6090D heads (now on evilbay) and they have an LH on one and an RH on the other..Or is this something totally different than what is being reffered to ?..

like these have... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/427-F...spagenameZWDVW see the picts of the ends of the heads
