starter temperature

OK so my 390 build is virtually complete with 10.5 to 1CR and hooker headers now the dilema is that the starter is buried hard inside the headers. With that kind of compression and when the engine is hot will the stock starter crank it over or will I have to look for mini starter and insulate it from headers? I want to do it right the first time as the header has to come off to get the starter out.

W/ a good hot batt, a good starter, and solid connections you shouldn't have any probs. I still have my original '73 starter on my 390 w/ 154,000 on it. Cranks nice-n-smooth. You can't beat original equipment. I've seen brand spanking new starters that were garbage. Good o'll america....except you can't buy anything from here anymore!
