ok i need to order a rebuild kit for my carter D5TE-AGB (luck to still have the tag on it) now DC lists 2 differant ones for the same years one is $16 and one is $20 anyone know what the main differance is? and does anyone have a diagram of everything that is supposed to be hooked up to the carb for a factory set-up?
cause there is a flat square rod that had nothing hooked to it ans was seized up it moves the large spring on the inside of the bowl up and down now. but what does it hook to
I have a carter YF that I have rebuilt before, I would guess that the main difference between the two kits is the name on it. All the carb kits I have ever orderd (which I guess is maybe 10) have come with an exploded view diagram.
well i have determined that my accelerator rod wasnt hooked up the flat piece i was talking about in the first post. cause i am getting no fuel in the motor now carb bowl was full of fuel i cleaned it all out no more gunky crap.
so its either rebuild, buy new, or upgrade with intake and carb. but without all the parts for this one i guess i have to upgrade
also figured out the differance in the carb kits ones for a Carter and ones for a Ford/motorcraft carb.
