They're good for as much pressure as the engine can handle.
I've read of guys running 50+ lbs through the stock intercooler, no problem until the headgasket blows.
I've also read of end tanks blowing off in the 45 lb neighborhood.

Stock headgaskets are good for around 40 psi of boost. Depending on your mods, that's roughly in the 400+ hp range. If you plan to go beyond 40 psi of boost, headstuds are recommended. You can run stock gaskets with headstuds for much more than 40 psi of boost.

Also valve springs start to become too weak around 40 PSI as well. Less boost pressure if they have many miles on them.
