What is the best all-terrain tires in 285/70/17? Ive been looking at firestone destination AT they have good reports on tirereack.com and the price is right.
Ive also been thinking about the BF all-terrain ko's but they are a little pricey and the tread wear is not as long as im looking for.
I am running a 31x10.5x15 destination AT on my f150 and have nothing but good things to say. quiet on the highway, they seem to be wearing great with over 15K miles on them. I have not taken the truck on any real off roading, but it goes through snow like mad in 2wd with an open diff. been through over 8" of snow with no trouble. the electric motor on my t-case is bad & been too cold to swap it, so it is good that the truck will go through snow...
I would check into the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour. I have a set on my 98 Expy Eddie Bauer 4X4 and they work awesome in the snow up here in Minnesota. I have put almost 50000 miles on mine and still have half the tread left. I will never buy another tire, these are the best tires I have ever used in snow, are great off road, for an AT, and wear like iron.
I have 33x12.50 B. F. Goodrich Trails on my '79 Jeep CJ7 and they work great for rain, mud and winter traction. They have a good straight tread pattern and are very quiet at 70+ mph.
I have settled for the firestone destination AT's maybe they will be a good tire. I dont do much offroading im looking for a long lasting tire. Thanks for all your replies.
