The shaft is splined and uses a set screw.. Post a picture of what you have. lock tite is a vibration assist not a glue. Oh the blue pill or the red?

J P Weld possibly? It should have been a set screw only. Paying for the sins of the previous owner.

I fyou end up wanting to or having to replace the inside door handle mechanism, let me know as I think I have one around I will give you..I have NOS handles and window cranks awaiting install...no C clips...just the phillips set screw.
