Replacing ujoints

I have a bad ujoint, so i am just going to replace all of them with ones with grease fittings. Anyone have any suggestions on what brands that work good?

If you only have 1 thats bad, then you only have 1 thats bad. You may go another 80k on the other joints.

if you take out the rear drive shaft, then do both ends. doing the front is an option, not a requirement, but not a bad idea. front dont get the same load as the rears.

I had a bad u-joint in the front of my truck about a month ago. I believe they were the originals. One of the cups seized up. So, I replaced all the u-joints (2 front and 2 back) with ones that had grease nipples. Just make sure you grease them! I prefer every oil change.

Some of the aftermarket ujoints (NAPA) you cannot grease without dropping the driveshaft. Unless you have a adaptor that will fit inside the tight yoke.

I replaced mine with fittings and now they are so predictable. Grease them and they keep right on going.
Have not had a problem since.

I have a 2000 F-150 and am hearing a rumble at between 442 and 52 mph.
Even though the u-joints seem tight I am going to replace them because
it is something I can do relatively cheaply. Question is what auto
supply store sells u-joints that have grease fittings and are easily
serviceable ?

I really hope the problem is the ujoints or I am up a creek without much
money.

442 MPH!
AAP,NAPA,or Carquest are your best auto parts stores to get grease zerk u-joints.
TIP; make sure you install the u-joint to where you have access to the grease zerk!

Dan pretty much said to avoid the NAPA u-joints
