I have the evo2 and yes it reads of the pcm thats why i have a different boost gauge and it now reads 26-27lbs.

I'm currently talking to a tech from Quadzilla about trying to get my Commander to display the ACTUAL boost pressure. I think I'm going to use a modified fuel pressure kit.

I'll let yall know how it comes out. I wanted to keep away from the analog gauges as much as possible for a nice clean look of just one digital unit.

Thumbs up

Just installed my Edge Evo tonight. Have only gotten to test run it for a couple of miles but even on just the 60 hp setting, I have much firmer shifts and a whole lot better response on the throttle. I know everyone is gonzo of dp-tuner, but having all of the gauges and the ability to read codes is what did it for me. The heaviest I ever tow is 2 snowmobiles on the sleddeck and two behind on the trailer. So for me, having increased hp to pull pretty small weight was good for me.

I also had the quadzilla, and sold it because it also was reading the boost of the pcm.I talked to one of the tech about it and he said that the boost was accurate and that the 7.3 will never see over 22 lbs of boost even when chiped thats when i knew he had no clue about our engines.

It is hard on my Tranny. I have the Juice w/Attitude and the Evo. Already went through one, about to go through another. Hard shifts on WOT.

Second try, stupid server.
Sell the Edge and kick in the less than $100 for the DP Tuner. They sell great on eBay.

Call BTS or John Wood (depending on where you are SE or Cali) and set up your appointment for a new BUILT trans. IDK, if yours are warrenty then I would tear them up till they stop replacing them.

Not sure about your Edge units, but with mine I have the ability to defuel on WOT shifts. Seems to make a difference on those rare occasions that I actually go WOT.

Our trucks are so strong and powerful that sometimes it seems that we forget that such actions as WOT shifts are hard on any vehicle...whether it was my first Ford Courier, F100 with a 390, or the Powerstroke that I have today. Being a diesel, I prefer to roll the power on smooth and enjoy the winding up...as well as the winding down.

I put an Edge Evolution on my truck around xmas. I would have gone with the DP but this was a gift so beggers can't be choosers. Just curious if anyone else out there with a 6sp has had issues with it slipping the clutch? I have to be gentle when towing in the 80hp setting or I can really slip the clutch. Also when it lugs up a hill (below 2200 rpm) I get quite a bit of turbo flutter...is that normal? This is my first experience with a tuner. I've got the Napa filter and a 4 inch MBRP turbo back exhaust if that helps or matters? I know I need some guages but I'm only towing a 16ft pace with 2 or 3 fourwheelers in it, hardly a load for one of these trucks.

Overall I've been impressed with the Evo, my milage is up about 4 or 5 mpg over stock. And it runs like it should with the 35's on it now IMO.

I have a 01 I did intake/filter, exhaust and Edge all at the same time. It was like getting a new truck. I am very happy with my Edge product. I tow a 29' Travel Trailer and average 13-14 mpg. Running 70mph on the interstate I average 20mpg. Performance gains were significant.

Already in the works for the Dp and a BTS. Just need some $$$ before the work on the tranny begins again. Currently drive the company van to/from work, so the truck is holding the driveway down. I'm up here in Washington. Last time I checked, $5500 for the BTS-shipping both ways and core.

The deal, I want to get the Dp before the Edge goes away. I need the power.

gimp419, I believe the flutter you hear, is turbo surge. I have the same sound due to the fact I have a heavy foot. Its gotten me into trouble several times.

I put an Edge Evo in last fall before heading south with a 40 ft toyhauler. I have a 1999 F350 CC, DRW Long bed. It is much better for me than stock. Pulling the trailer I put it in the 100 hp setting for most of the trip, set the cruise and just let it go. Only had to back out of cruise if I came upon a long uphill pull. EGT's would really climb fast. Tried to keep them at or below 1000. Did have to overhaul the tranny when I arrived in South Florida haven't hooked up to the trailer again since the overhaul but am happy with the performance so far. Love the gauges though.

The only issue I have with John, is the fact I don't know his products. I know BTS, due to some of the people I'm around have a BTS in their trucks. In fact, they are racing tomorrow, NHRDA here at Pacific Raceways. I know BTS can handle 400HP+
