NICE! I have a 78 F250 with 44's. You have any problems keeping the truck in a straight line? I'm having a heck of time trying to get mine to be drivable (some what safe even)
78 ford guy what are you running for steering then i'm guessin dana 44 stock setup with drag link hooked up to driver side steering arm. Hows yout drag link angle the straighter the better. I just recently upgaded to a dana 60 with crossover steering (soon to be high steer with tie rod relocated over leaf spring for learance over rocks). I'll post some pics i took tonite. My steering is perfect drives like a caddilac
The steering arm mounted on the passenger side has two holes one for the drag link from the steeing box the other for the new tie rod to be attatched to another arm mounted on the driver side again over the leaf spring(high steer) that is the next thing i'm getting just gotta send the measurement to the shop to get the tie rod made. Steering box is from a 75 ish two wheel drive ford pickup which works nice because it is very tall and it helps with my drag link angle. U just have to weld a plate inside the frame rail with the holes to bolt on box (in the pic i have no linkage to the steering box cuz i'm changing my connection from a rag joint to universal connection)
Nice truck. It so refreashing to see someone lift a truck that tall correctly! good job on the crossover as well....thats something you dont see often around here.
EDIT:
Might want to double check a few things before you go all out with highsteer. It wouldnt work on my truck because the highsteer tie rod is directly in the way of the drag link. See pics
