Which sounds beter on a 460 glaspacks or flowmasters?
to me, i think glasspacks belong on a truck, and theres nothing like the sound of a big block, flowmasters make anything sound like a camaro or a mustang, just my opinion though, i would go with glasspacks

I would go with glasspacks. They are inexpensive and give your engine a great sound. If you want somthing in between then you could go for a Terminator muffler. It sounds like a flowmaster at idle but when you get it rapped up they sound like packs.

i dont know i like flows, i have had packs on my truck and i personally like the flows more. the packs were old and burned out it was music to the ears then to many backfires and i blew one apart. put on 40 series flowmasters and now it really sounds mean... just my 2 cents

Yeah, I'm a fan of the Flowmasters as well. Got a series 40 on my 351 right now, real loud. Got a great purr on idle, plus it roars when you stomp it. The best part is flooring it and dropping off the gas real quick, you get little backfires in the muffler, sounds great. Don't get it if you like your stereo though, really adds a lot of interior resonance, better have a good stereo system. Either way is good.

I like the flows, as well. Especially with headers. I'm using a pair of 3" big block series muffs on my 83 F-100 now, and they aren't too loud, not too quiet. There's just enough noise to let the chevy guys know that something is not right...
