i beleive the block is the same but i think they are balanced differently? someone is sure to chime in, i have never done the swap. i know the autos will swap so i assume the manuals will as well, should just be different flywheel and clutch, maybee a balancer, and dont forget about the pilot bearing

Don't know for sure. I know that the older ZF's are rated for less power. But I don't know what year the difference is or what makes them different. I THINK that it will work but I am not certain.
