I was browsing the internet one day and I saw some cutting edge accesories that you bolt on its almost like the curb bumbers but it save nearly 400% of your cutting edge. there orange I think. But I was just wondering if any of you have heard or seen anything like this. If so please leave a link.
No there to help your outside the farthest left n right, right at the end of the blade it helps to save them from wearing so fast. It said somthing like saves 400% your cutting edge or somthing... I forgot the site.
No, Those are the curb bumbers but, what are the second link? What are they used for?... But these things are to reduce you from havin to buy another cutting edge it helps so that you dont use it as fast. But im still looking and I found the site at school so monday im going to go back to my history and check n see if I can find it. But if you see anything that might help I would be glad to look. Thanks Ford 150
ay I see there different kind, But idk how much these edge savers cost but they say it saves up to 400% the cutting edge idk if its true or not, But I would sure like to know what the name of that site is.
Yup the second link is for skids/dolly wheels, Truthfully I have tried skids and I have had no luck with them. I tried using them after the first 8 inches of snow and it cut trenches everywhere there was some unhappy people.
I have had better results with lowering the blade and bumping it up a little, I only do this for the first or second snow fall untill the ground gets hard. Then I just lower it and forget about it.
You should be able to check out the the western site or any dealer that sells plows, for a price.
This summer I plan on making a set of adjustable dolly wheels that use a rubber tire.
