We are looking at buying 2 04 E-350 with the 6.0 powerstroke and i would like to know if it would hurt them to run off road diesel in them they never leave our lot they just run on our lot to shuttle people.

No it won't hurt it. I know people that that is all they run in their trucks. No problems untill they get caught and half to pay out the butt.

How does off road diesel compare to the on road stuff that is outrageously high?

The off road diesel is about a buck less a gal. here we use about 300. gal a week so it adds up to a big savings.

I have 130,000km's and been using offroad and marine diesel (low sulfer) for approx. 85% of the km's. No problems.

...so long as it is lo-sulphur. 2006 doesn't require Ultra-lo.

Be careful using Red Dyed Diesel...There are some pretty heft fines to be had if you get caught running it....Doesn't matter if you leave your "lot" or not. Not only that but you are abusing something that isn't for you if you do use it.

Home on the farm I have heard of guys getting caught running it in their trucks and regretting taking the risk.....

If it is true off road it WILL still be high sulfer fuel. It will give you better mpg and performance. If it is just died #2 then it will just cost less. You can run them in your truck with no trouble as it is not going to be on the road only in your lot. Hope that helps
