04' 6.0 Powerstroke Throttle issues?
I Have an 04 f-350 with the 6.0 and just shy of 90000mi. on it last night and to day when i have been driving i will all of a sudden loose power it will only run at 1100 - 1300 rpm for a while then clean up and run like a top. no check engine light comes on but it will just spew black smoke for some time with zero power. Any thoughts or remidies - is this a common issue?

When it cuts out the power, can you hear the turbo whistle when you step on it? I'm not positive, but I think black smoke is indicative of too much fuel, which would mean that your tubo is sticking. Don't quote me on this. I could be way off.
