3rd row seat installation?

Can you buy a 3rd row seat and install it in an Expedition that didnt come with a 3rd row? Will you also need to put seat belts in or are they on the seat?

What year? My 98 has mounting areas built into the floor. The seat belts also mountto the floor and side panels.

its a '98. It has some sort of thing that looks like tie down rings, is that what the seat clips to? Are the belt mounts already there? I dont own an expedition (yet), hence all the questions. Otherwise, I'd just go look...

No, you would have to weld brackets into the body and weld places for the seat belt bolts to go. Not worth it. If you do a shabby job and roll the truck is it worth someone getting hurt?

Attached is a photo of the brackets in my 99 for the third row seat. I don't know if this an option but you could pull your carpet and see if there's cover plates that are removable which would allow the installation of the proper mounting brackets shown in the picture. If so you could probably get these from a wrecking yard. If not then I'd say you don't have that option.
