I had an '02 without and my '04 has it, so here's my take:
I don't think the rear floor pans are the same (could be wrong on this)
The '02 had a 60-40 2nd row seat with fold down backs; the '04 has a 40-20-40 2nd row with outside sections that "tumble" forward to allow easy access to the back
The 3rd row shoulder harnesses are in the rear pillars
If the floor pan is the same then I would think it's do-able, provided you can find a decent donor vehicle and are prepared to pay $$$ for the matching parts; changing the pillars would probably be the tough work.
I understand that the floor mountings for the 03 will not work. The floor bracing for a 3rd row seat is not right. Check with the shop mgr. at the dealer for back up. Sorry to sound so neg, past posts have given info to give up the thought.
ok thanks guys -- i want to add some options that mine doesn't have and was gonna start there -- also want to put on heated mirrors -- and was going to replace steering wheel (mine has a rip) with one that has controls for stereo -- any thoughts on these
