down pipe question!

i friend has a 2007 6.0 and he tried to remove his down pipe from the turbo. clamp was off! it would not budge! is there a trick too this?

Beat the mess out of it. It is on there pretty good. Me and the guy who installed mine just popped it with a rubber mallet till it let go

Wait are you removing the down pipe to upgrade your exhaust? I thought that is what you were doing... I should have looked at that a little closer. Dont sawz all then ahhah

If its the magnaflow kit, it comes w/ a 4in downpipe which has been known to be pretty tough to install. Some people have had to flatten a section of the pipe or pound the firewall for clearance. Just a little heads up

I wouldn't flatten the pipe, that defeats the purpose of going wtih the 4". I would just get a 3.5" Dp and be done with it or flatten the firewall...
