Correct me if Im wrong but doesnt the PCM advance the timing for colder oil temps ? This could lead to a cleaner more efficient burn as I think we all know that Ford is VERY reserved when it comes to timing . Couldn't this advanced timing translate into higher boost?
The PCM does consider the intake air temp (pre-boost) and manifold air temp (post-boost -- sensors in both places), and adjusts fueling appropriately. But I don't think "advancing timing" is the correct term for it -- that's usually for gassers' spark timing. Something we don't have.
the EOT (engine oil temp )sensor is the one im talking about . And the injector timing is what I was thinking . Of course this may not be true and just an old wives tale. But there is a mod for this somewhere .
ts-stroker, I sure hope you have a set of gauges. I can't amagine what your EGT running that kind of chip. Do you have intake, exhaust?
i am running 3.5" exhaust into 6" mitre cut dual stacks yes i have a pyro and a boost gauge but turning bout 30psi of boost i'm only running bout 700 degrees. but i am also getting ready to buy a dfuser steriod-t module to stack on top of my ts and the thing is that when i had 2 chips stacked on eachother before my egts ran actually only about 100-200 degrees hotter thats it but thats when i seen 35psi was with my ts turned up on 140 and my defuser 18k turned up all the way and if i'm not mistakin i think i was only runnin bout 800 degrees on the pyro.
