Hey guys - I recently installed 2" front spacer lift and air ride bags in the rear. I'm running about 60 psi in the rear bags and truck is pretty close to level. Now I am getting a fairly heavy vibration on low speed start up. Once Im moving(over 15-20 mph) it runs fine. Any thoughts on what to check? Thanks,
Probably because you aired up the bags, lowering the axle from the chassis, changing driveshaft angle. Did you do this just to compensate for the lift in the front? If so, try removing the air pressure in the bags (keep about 5psi in them at all times however), and see if the problem goes away. If so, you will need to add a small shim (1/4" or so) to the driveshaft carrier bearing to decrease the angle.
Ill try letting out some air Kris -I installed the bags for towing to keep rear end from sagging. Did the fronts just to keep it from nose diving. The bags do a great job towing, much more stable. Should I just add the spacer cause I like the way it rides with 50-60 psi in the bags even when not towing? Thanks

If I shim the carrier bearing can I just use some heavy washers stacked up at least to try and see if this takes vibration out? Never done this b4. Thanks, Bill
Kris -Im gonna make my own shim out of 1/4" stock -Just wanted to try it w/ washers first to make sure the thickness is right. I dropped the pressure to 10 psi and like you said no more vibrato. Is there a ratio for amount of lift to amount of shim? Thanks, again

Mike - Not sure myself -Any body have a pic of the carrier bearing ?I thought it was the mid way (looks kinda like a pillow block bearing) has a bolt on either side.

Yea it is, have you crawled under your truck to verify you have one?
