I was wondering If anyone has tried installing a flip kit on the rear axle. I've heard stories that this can cause vibration or instability in the rear suspension after you install it. I want to install one on my Ranger but if i'm going to have to suffer poor suspension quality for ride height, I'll spend the extra and go with air-bag suspension.
[font color="red" size="ten" face="comic sans ms"]Not sure on the viabration problem,,, but I have a alternative,,, bell tech has lowering leaf springs,, no need to flip the axle.. just replace the leaf with the lowered one ,, and that is it,, and its still ALOT cheaper than the air bag set up.... Buy the lowered springs, they ride much better! I dropped my truck with a "flip kit", rides terrible unless I have a full tank and a bed full of anything. As far as vibration goes it's unavoidable, if you lower the truck the pinion angle changes but the fix is easy and cheap (shims)$15 dollars tops.
Good idea, but limited to 3" drop. He'll have to use other means to go lower and will probably not like the results. I used Bell Tech springs/shocks to bring my 99 Ranger down 3". I feel the bumps a little more than stock, but not bad.
